Why TikTok timing is different

Evenings are king (7pm-11pm).

School holidays are gold for extra daytime content.

A video can go viral days after posting. Timing matters less than on other platforms.

What does this tool do?

The heatmap shows, per day and per hour (Brussels time), when TikTok videos in Belgium and the Netherlands get the most views in the first few hours on average. Pick your industry and the accents shift: fitness content scores early in the morning, hospitality around lunchtime, entertainment late in the evening. The patterns are based on general viewing behaviour of BE/NL users — on TikTok mainly a younger audience that scrolls in the evening and at weekends.

How do you read the result?

Dark red cells are the windows in which the largest audience is active. But watch out: on TikTok the algorithm matters more than the clock. A good starting hour gives your video a stronger first test round (TikTok shows every video to a small group of viewers first), but a video that catches on keeps running for days or weeks. So use the top 3 as a starting moment, and above all look at your first-hour performance: many full views and reactions in that window mean the rest follows by itself. If you post during school holidays, feel free to shift towards midday — your audience is on the app during the day as well.
