Buddy Free tool ยท per industry

Emoji picker per industry

Which emojis suit your business? Click to copy.

When should you use emojis?

Use them for visual breathing room. An emoji at the start of a paragraph makes it scannable.

Not as a replacement for words.

Be consistent. Stick to your brand emojis.

No more than 2-3 per sentence.

What does this tool do?

For 17 industries, Buddy put together emoji sets that match the tone of that sector, each grouped by use: your product or service, atmosphere, and practical matters such as location and opening hours. Pick your industry, click an emoji to copy it individually, or copy the whole set at once into your notes so you always have it at hand while writing a post.

How do you use the sets wisely?

Pick five or six fixed "brand emojis" from the set and mainly use those โ€” recognition comes from repetition. The category split helps with that: a product emoji in your opening line, an atmosphere emoji for the feeling you want to evoke, and ๐Ÿ“ or โฐ for practical information at the bottom. Avoid the reflex to decorate every sentence; an emoji works as a signpost for the eye, not as confetti. And think about your audience: for a law firm one business-like emoji per post is plenty, while a baker can easily use three.

Emojis are seasoning, not the meal

The post itself โ€” the story, the photo, the call to action โ€” remains the real work. Get inspiration from our blog article on what to post as a bakery, hairdresser or restaurant, and finish your captions with the caption length checker from our free social media tools. Rather not tinker at all? Let Buddy write your posts automatically โ€” with the right emojis for your industry, dosed by itself.
