You have the right to be forgotten

Under the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation, Article 17), you have the right to have all personal data we hold about you deleted. Promobuddy.ai fully respects that right. Below you can read how to have your data erased.

Method 1: delete yourself via your account

This is the fastest way. No intermediary required.

1. Log in at promobuddy.ai/login
2. Go to Settings → Account
3. Click "Permanently delete account" at the bottom
4. Confirm your choice in the dialog that appears

Your account, linked social media, posts, media and all personal data will be immediately flagged for permanent deletion. Within 30 days, everything will be permanently removed from our production database and from all backups.

Method 2: request via email

No longer have access to your account, or would you prefer to submit a written request? Send an email to:

support@promobuddy.ai

Please include in your message:

• The email address you use to log in to Promobuddy.ai
• Your company name or organisation, if applicable
• The phrase: "I request the deletion of all my personal data under Article 17 GDPR"

We will confirm your request within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days, in accordance with GDPR legislation.

What will be deleted

• Your account and login credentials
• Your profile, organisation and brand data
• All content created by you (posts, images, captions)
• The OAuth connections with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and Google Business
• Incoming comments and messages retrieved via the linked channels
• Brand Brain facts and AI settings tailored to your account
• Support tickets and feature requests you have submitted

What is retained (and why)

A small portion of data cannot be deleted immediately for legal reasons:

• Invoices and payment records are retained for 7 years, in accordance with Belgian accounting legislation (Art. III.86 Code of Economic Law). Only the minimum accounting data: name, VAT number, invoice amount.
• Anonymised, aggregated statistics (e.g. "X posts published in month Y") remain available for product improvement. These contain no personal data and can no longer be traced back to you.

Facebook-specific instructions

Did you originally register via Facebook? If so, we also recommend disconnecting the Promobuddy app from your Facebook account:

1. Go to facebook.com/settings → Apps and Websites
2. Find Promobuddy.ai in the list
3. Click Remove

This revokes the OAuth permission on our end. Facebook will then automatically delete all tokens we have ever received.
